Recent rains have caused Lake Waco to rise five feet, flooding much of the surrounding area.
"We've had to close down several parks," Park Ranger Eric Haskell said. "It'll cost us a little bit to remove debris, that's the main damage."
The water is so high at the Lake Waco Marina that people can't get to their boats.
"We have the gate shut, most of the road and the land and waterways have been flooded," Lake Waco Marina Owner Rich Chatmas said. "It's too dangerous to let people in, unfortunately."

Chatmas estimated it will cost $20,000 to $30,000 to make repairs to his business, which he said will be mostly electrical work.
"We have rain in the forecast this weekend so it can easily flood," Chatmas said.
Although he's worried about the possibility of the lake rising again, Chatmas is trying to stay positive.
"The good news is we know we can look forward to a full lake this coming spring, and so we know that all the boaters are going to have a good season this coming summer, and the restaurant will have a good year," Chatmas said.
There is a dam at Lake Waco which currently has it's flood gates open to release water into the Brazos River.
Haskell said the dam is dropping the water level about 1.5 feet a day.
