"There's spirit, a lot of spirit. Everyone's behind the Bears," Trigg said.
Even people who don't have any ties to the players are behind the Bears.
"What brings me is all those young guys out there doing their best to win a football game," Bastrop fan Warren Pedersen said.
And the Bears keep winning.
"They're making some good plays and they're a good team. The defense is awesome," Trigg said.
And fans remain optimistic the team will keep it up.
"We're going to be undefeated all year," Esquivel said.
That gives the City of Bastrop something to get excited about every Friday night.
"It's just something to get behind, to lift your spirits as well as the spirits of the players," Pedersen said. "We're going to keep on winning all the way to state."
With the wins stacking up, the city's beginning to dream and, even if they don't make it to state, the fans are enjoying the ride.
