The Waco Police Department is looking for Lamar Anthony Simpson, 23, of Waco who is wanted for the July 2009 attempted murder of an Arkansas woman.

According to the police, on July 3, 2009 just before 1a.m. officers responded to the Robinson Garden Apartments located at 2800 Madison Dr. where a woman was reportedly shot.

The woman told officers that she, her brother and one other individual were standing in the apartment complex parking lot talking when a black male approached them with a gun demanding their money.

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash from the victims the woman tried to flee on foot after which she was shot in the shoulder by the suspect. No other victims were harmed.

Simpson was identified by the victim as the individual that robbed and shot her in the shoulder.
