Storm Risk Tonight and Tomorrow
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the night within a very unstable airmass. Any storms may be capable of producing gusty winds, hail, heavy downpours, and isolated tornadoes. Bell, Coryell, McLennan, and Milam counties are included in a TORNADO WATCH until 9 pm.
Mild and muggy conditions will prevail overnight with lows in the lower 70s. Wednesday will feature similar conditions, with chance for rain standing at 50%. The potential will still be there for storms to become strong to severe. The Storms Prediction Center once again places central Texas in the slight risk area into early Thursday.
By Friday we should see an end to this unsettled pattern with the passage of a cold front. The timing will be such that the nicer, drier weather will arrive just in time for the weekend. Saturday and Sunday should feature plenty of sunshine with summer-like temperatures near 90. Check back with the 8-day forecast for more details.
