The Austin Police Department's No Refusal weekend ended with 46 arrests.
Under the No Refusal operation, APD can get warrants to collect blood from suspected drunk drivers who refuse to give a breath or blood specimen.
Friday night into Saturday morning, APD made a total of 22 arrests, issued 16 blood search warrants and conducted six breathalyzer tests.
Saturday night into Sunday morning, APD made 24 more arrests, issued 13 blood search warrants and took eight breathalyzer tests
APD also reported one mandatory blood draw and two consensual draws.
The police department said No Refusal weekend is an effort to enforce DWI laws. Approximately half of last year's traffic fatalities were alcohol-related.
