Motorists in Williamson County had to dodge an unusual pumpkin patch early this morning.
An 18-wheeler carrying a load of pumpkins overturned around 4:30 a.m.
The incident happened on U.S. Highway 183 near Highway 970, not far from the Burnet County line.
Traffic was reduced to one lane as officers assessed the damage.
"We see some strange things but it's kind of ironic this time of year right now," Department of Public Safety Trooper Scott Isbell said.
DPS officers said the driver fell asleep at the wheel and lost control.
