Police are investigating an early morning motorcycle accident that left two people dead in North Austin.
It happened just before 1:30 a.m. near Interstate 35 and St. Johns.
Investigators said two people riding a motorcycle were traveling on the east frontage road when they hit a guard rail.
Police said a man in his 50s died at the scene.
A woman was taken to the hospital where she later died.
Police found a helmet at the scene.
No information was immediately available on whether anyone was wearing it at the time of the accident.
