University police arrested Gerardo Pena, 17, at Texas State University-San Marcos Thursday night and he is being charged with two counts of sexual assault.
Police responded to the area of campus near the Supple Science Building and the Comanche Street pedestrian bridge after receiving calls from two victims alleging they had been assaulted.
Both women said they had been approached from behind by a male subject who held them against their will and groped them in a sexual manner.
In both instances, the women were able to break free and call police. They described their attacker as between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, wearing a dark hooded top and blue jeans.
Police said that during questioning, Pena said he may have committed as many as four similar assaults the evening before.
Campus police are asking anyone with information about these possible assaults to contact them at (512) 245-2805.
