Enjoy an evening of partying at Whole Foods Market this Thursday during the Heroes for Health Rooftop Party Fundraiser. The event benefits a group called Marathon Kids. Marathon Kids challenges approximately 70,000 Austin area kids to run or walk 26.2 miles over six months and eat fruits and veggies 26.2 days out of each month.
During the fundraiser Sen. Kirk Watson will be honored as Austin's Hero for Health. The event takes place Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Whole Foods Market on 525 N. Lamar.

Thousands in pink will join to run or walk the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure on November 1. The annual 5k will take place at The Domain. The race will begin at 7:30 a.m. and include a one mile Komen Family Walk. Money raised goes toward the global movement to end breast cancer.
