The department hopes the new option will curb an increasing number of calls and free up deputies to spend more time working on cases. On the home page, click on File Online Report, then select a crime, and follow the simple directions. Once submitted, the complaintant will receive a copy of the report via email. Each report is reviewed and either accepted or dismissed. Of course, in an emergency situation, always call 911.
