It wasn't Derek's first time baking cookies, but it was his first time whipping up a sweet icing.
"It looks like a big bone," he pointed out as he was whipping the fondant around.
He kept everyone laughing during the cookie decorating class. Afterwards, he explained how he saw the movie "Batman Versus Dracula", saying it was "tight."

Derek was a kid in a candy store exploring the All in One Bake Shop. He made scary spiders, something many people have on the top of their worst-fears list, but Derek said spiders don't phase him.
Still, Derek said there are some things he is afraid of—the dark, and not finding a permanent home.
He said if he could choose one thing for Christmas he would want to have his family.
He would love a family that can take him to see movies, read to him, laugh at his jokes, bake with him and, most of all, love him.
Derek loves to bake, and while the All in one Bake shop offered him a job in the future, he said he wants to be an illustrator.
