Costume World, a new costume shop on Burnet Road, has hundreds of costumes for sale and over 45 Broadway wardrobes available for rent to anybody who walks in the store.
Halloween is only a little over a week away and with full costumes of such feared characters as Edward Scissorhands and Freddy Krueger on hand, monsters are flying off the shelves at a frightening speed.
"One of the most popular costumes in the store every year are pirates," store owner Kimberly Wick said. "We have lots and lots of them!"
Wick said Costume World and Halloween are all about couples, so they cater to all kinds of daunting duos. Including a Mad-Hatter and Alice in Wonderland pairing.

There are dozens of intricate costumes in the Greek, Roman and Egyptian room where women can adorn themselves in the fantastical bling of centuries past.
"From flappers to fantasy to monsters, to Shakespeare to Shagadelic, we’ve got it all," Wick said.
