Austin's Band Of Heathens started as a casual song swap at Momo's and has grown into a serious award-winning, radio-play earning entity.
"It's definitely an affair, I don't know if it's a serious one," Colin Brooks, with the band, said.
The band recently taped their debut performance for Austin City Limits, the television show.
They'll release a new album, "One Foot In The Ether," this week and they'll celebrate with a show Saturday night at Antone's.
"We actually started just cutting a few tracks to get some songs down, and all of a sudden we had 16 songs," Brooks said. "We thought, 'We better stop the bleeding or make a double record.'"
