The Lady Bird Lake paddling trail in downtown Austin is the newest addition to the Texas Paddling Trail network.
Paddlers can row their way to local attractions like Barton Springs Pool and the Congress Avenue bats.
Texas Parks and Wildlife is partnering with communities across the state to provide well-mapped, public paddling trails for all levels of paddlers.

"We have over 200,000 miles of rivers and creeks and streams and seven spectacular bay systems," Texas Parks and Wildlife executive director Carter Smith said. "And these are public waterways that we need to provide public access, we need to steward and we need to take care of."
There are currently 18 paddling trails in Texas, with more on the way.
