View event Web site DESCRIPTION: WHAT: Concordia University Texas’s College of Business is sponsoring its monthly “Spend Your Lunch With…Speaker Series” featuring local Austin professionals who are models of Christian leadership. November’s “Spend Your Lunch With…Speaker Series” topic is The Politics of Environmental Stewardship.
WHO: Kathleen Harnett White is the keynote speaker for November. She serves as the director for the Center for Natural Resources at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, a position she has held since January of 2008. Previously, she was appointed by Governor Rick Perry as the Chairman and Commissioner of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, the second largest environmental regulatory agency in the world. White is a widely sought after as a writer and consultant on environmental law and free market natural resource policy.
NOTE: The next “Spend Your Lunch With…Speakers Series” is scheduled for Thursday, December 3, 2009 and is entitled “Creation Care: Environmental Stewardship as Faith Practice” and will feature keynote speaker Bee Morehead.

The City of Austin plans to have the Nueces Bike Boulevard opened by late spring. The boulevard would be a multi-use path where car traffic is discouraged. How do you feel about this?
I think this is a great idea, we need more roads like this
