View event Web site DESCRIPTION: Each fast-paced and bizarre episode features an archetypal TV female confronting her artificial universe in hilarious and unexpected ways. Guaranteed to leave you craving the good ol' days of Nick-at-Nite (but with a twist), Leave it to Beverly confronts consumerism, turns gender roles upside-down, and celebrates the elusive mysteries of Tupperware, Astroturf, and Mr. Clean.
This latest incarnation of Leave it to Beverly is written and directed by Kirk German and features DA! Collective Members Jude Hickey, Heather Huggins, Lisa del Rosario, Michelle Brandt, Stephanie Denson, and Scott Roskilly. Joining the cast are special guest artists Chris Gibson, Rhonda Kulhanek, and Jacob Trussell. Choreography by Lisa del Rosario. Costume design by Monica Gibson. Lighting design by Kat Rodgers. Sound design by Bryan Schneider. Feature puppets by Connor Hopkins.
DA! Theatre Collective is honored to be a recent recipient of a 2009 Austin Chronicle “Best of Austin” Critics’ Pick award for “Best Non-Profit Upstart”. DA! is proud to be sponsored by Hyde Park Theatre. This project is funded and supported in part by the City of Austin through the Cultural Arts Division and by a grant from the Texas Commission on the Arts and an award from the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.

The City of Austin plans to have the Nueces Bike Boulevard opened by late spring. The boulevard would be a multi-use path where car traffic is discouraged. How do you feel about this?
